Visitation Information & Rules:
Visits held at the Androscoggin County Jail
permit inmates to visit with family and friends. Visitation Rules
have been developed to specify conduct required of both residents
and visitors.
Any violation of the Visiting rules may result in the termination of said visit and/or prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. The Visiting Rules and Regulations will be posted in the visiting areas.
Inmates are only allowed a visit every other
day. Upon completion of the inmates current visit can another visit
be made.
All visitors must arrive at the jail 15 minutes before the scheduled Non-Contact visit is to begin. And 30 minutes before the scheduled Contact visit is to begin. Visitors that are late will be denied there visit.
Any person with pending charges or on Probation
will be denied visiting privileges.
No convicted felons with the exception of immediate family, without
prior approval of the Jail Administrator or Assistant Jail
Administrator, may visit. Persons who were arrested/convicted of a
misdemeanor must have not been a resident of Androscoggin County
Jail for at least 6 months, with the exception of immediate family,
who must seek permission from the Jail Administrator or Assistant
Jail Administrator.
All inmates must be here 72 hours before being
allowed a Non-Contact visit. Excluding weekends/holidays. Inmates
may have only 2 adult visitors or 1 adult and 1 child (17 years of
age and under) during a Non- Contact visit. And during Contact
visits 2 adult visitors and 1 child (5 years of age and under) or 1
adult and 2 children(12yrs of age and under). No Exceptions will be
made due to room space.
Visitors must comply with ALL rules and
regulations governing visits.
All visitors must leave jail grounds upon completion of their
visits.
