Androscoggin County is accepting applications for the Emergency Management Agency EMA Office Manager. This individual is an enthusiastic professional responsible for assisting the EMA Director and staff with maintaining the agency contact list, training records, grant management, budget development, and programmatic activities. Other day to day activities include accaount payable/receivable, inventory, and updating the website and social media pages. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess significant interpersonal and communication skills orally, electronically, and written. Working proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite applications is essential.This position if a full-time/40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will require some occasional evening and weekend work. Androscoggin County is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and solution-oriented individual to serve as the Finance Director/Treasurer. The Finance Director/Treasurer is responsible for the general operations of Treasurer’s office within applicable codes, laws, and statutes. This employee’s primary responsibility is to safeguard the assets of the County by effectively maintaining liaison with auditors, banks, and the general public; disbursing funds to cover expenditures; administering employee benefits under the direction of the County Administrator; and assisting the County Administrator in analysis and preparation of department budgets. This is a full-time position. Essential requirements include 3 years of experience directly related to governmental finance and demonstrated proficiency in county or municipal governmental fund accounting, payroll, grants, and governmental reports. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field preferred and/or education and experience equivalent to 5 years of progressively responsible finance work.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring for a full-time Corrections Officer. Under the new collective bargaining agreement that took palce on 01/01/2023, the starting wages are $21.42 to $28.44 per hour with credit for up to 15 years' experience in the field, plus stipends for education and night shift differential. We offer 12 hour fixed shifts (nights or days) in a fifteen day work rotation in which you will have every other weekend off, and be compensated for a 42 hour work week plus overtime opportunities. Androscoggin County offers medical and dental insurance, a 20-year Maine State Retirement plan, a 457b plan, 13 paid holidays, uniform allowance, and a great team working environment.
