Booking and Bail Information:
If you believe you know someone
who has been arrested, is being held at ACJ, or you want to check
some ones charges including bail amount call:
Jail Admission & Release at (207) 753-2500 Ext. 1702
You will need the First and Last name of the
person you are calling about.
Once you are given the
amount required, and wish to post someone’s bail you will need to
come to the Androscoggin County Jail. Jail staff will verify that
you have the correct CASH amount for the persons bail.
All cash is exchanged with the bail commissioner and Androscoggin
County Jail cannot accept, hold, or process the cash for you. You
must remain in the jail lobby until the bail commissioner arrives
and processes the paperwork with you.
Be aware that the bail
commissioners charge a $60.00 processing fee; this is in addition to
the individuals bail amount.
Please be advised: Bail Commissioners are
on call only. The bail commissioner will not be called until
the cash bail has been verified by the Jail.
If needed an ATM machine is located in
the Jail lobby.
Bail is accepted 24hrs 7 days a week.
